“Women with extremely dense breasts (Volpara density grade 4), and a negative mammography result after double reading (Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System classification 1 or 2) were eligible for randomisation. After randomisation, only those women randomised to the intervention group (supplemental MRI examination) were informed and invited for the trial … Of women invited for MRI because of extremely dense breasts, 59% participated.”
